24 weeks!

Week 24: A Cantaloupe

At week 24, baby’s progress isn’t just about internal stuff, it’s about her looks too. With pinker, more opaque skin, she’s looking more and more, well, like a baby. You might be experiencing some of the discomforts of the later months of pregnancy like leg cramps, backaches and swollen feet.

* How far along?: 24 weeks
* Total weight gain:?? I really should weigh myself.. At this point with Wes I had gained 1.5 lbs... it is a lot more than that. They price I pay for feeling better I guess.
* How big is baby?: roughly a foot long and about 1.5 lbs
* Next appointment: next Thursday.
* Maternity clothes?: Make up all my normal clothes except sweats, etc.
* Stretch marks?: Nope
* Sleep?: has been okay. I passed out cold for a two hour nap the other day. Luckily, Wesley took a crazy (and unusually long) nap that day.
* Best moment this week?: Prenatal massage- mostly because of the ability to relax for an hour in Wesley's Mommy-centered world. He doesn't want much to do with Nick these past few days, which bums him out and exhausts me.
* Movement?: I feel her often. She's kicked Wes lots of time. Nick still hasn't felt her. I feel she is avoiding him ;)
* Food cravings?: sweets are still at the top of the list, unfortunately. And Coffee.
* Pregnancy symptoms: exhaustion (which I am sure has something to do with my two-year-old, too) and acne--- still. I guess it's true when "they" saw pregnant women who are carrying girls are uglier... ;)
* Labor signs?: no
* Belly button in or out?: In
*Gender: Boy!
* What I miss: still margaritas. I asked Lyss if she would bring me one in the hospital. She said yes. Such a good sister.
* What I'm looking forward to: Seeing baby girl again next Thursday. 9 days and counting. I also wish she'd kick Nick already. He's quite anxious.
* Milestone: 24 weeks, 0 days is referred to as viability day. If something would happen, she has a much better chance (50-50) of survival outside the womb starting this week. She still needs to stay in there a few more months though!
