Four Weeks

In week 4, now safe in your womb, the ball of cells (blastocyst) splits in two, becoming theembryo and the placenta. The amniotic sac and fluid are forming around baby, and will act as a cushion for the next eight months.

* How far along?: 4 weeks
* Total weight gain: 0
* How big is baby?: the size of a poppy seed
* Next appointment: Friday, August 28 at 1 PM
* Maternity clothes?: nope
* Stretch marks?: nope
* Sleep?: Sleep is good, but I've had weird dreams since the morning of my first positive test (Monday)
* Best moment this week?: Telling Nick about Baby Schuler.  It was amazing.  He was so happy and surprised.
* Movement?: Nope
* Food cravings?: No cravings.  I am trying to eat healthy and make sure I get my veggies, fruits, and whole grains.
* Pregnancy symptoms: Bloated, sore breasts
* Labor signs?: Haha.  Little early for that!
* Belly button in or out?: In.  I think it will be staying there for a while!
*Gender: I have no idea. I am still getting used to the idea of having a baby.  The Chinese Gender Predictor says boy.
* What I miss: Nothing yet- it's only been two days!
* What I'm looking forward to: Telling our families.  We still haven't decided when we want to do this.  I am supposed to help my parents with a grain bin in a few weeks, which I can still do, but I obviously can't do everything that I normally would.  We are debating telling our families the weekend before (my birthday), or just trying to wait until after our first appointment, August 28, to make sure everything is going well.  There's quite the debate on whether our immediate families can keep it hush, hush.  We aren't ready to tell the world yet!  We are also debating on whether immediate family includes grandparents.  I say no, he says yes.  The debate rages on...
* Milestone: Positive pregnancy tests.  Implantation.
