Perfect, right? Well, sort of. The onesie was a whopping $12.50. Oh, well, I am a daddy's girl, so I was ready to fork it over. Then, I looked at shipping. $5.25 for economy, and it would not be here by Thursday. For $7.00 of shipping, it might make it. For $13 I would have it. Wait, $25.50 for a onesie? Yikes. I noticed that shipping on additional items didn't add much to the total. I decided to look around for Seth, Tammy, Lyss, etc.
I found some cute onesies, but I looked at my cart, and my total was over $75. Crap. Then I remembered making fun t-shirts with some of my girlfriends in HS after our ski trip. Nick and I went to Walmart and bought iron-on transfers and two packages white onesies. Nick agreed to help even though he didn't share my enthusiasm for making them. I asked if he wanted to make them for his family, too. He said no.
We got home, and I thought I'd just use word to design them. Not good enough for Nick. He took over and opened InDesign. I then realized I'd tell Nick what I wanted the onesies to say, and he'd design them while I watched. This is his degree at work, afterall.
We started with Dad's since he was the reason I started this in the first place. We came up with somewhat clever things to write on onesies for Dad, Mom, Lyss, Seth, Tammy, and Jordan. We also ended up making one I could use as a ginny pig and one for Josh (Nick caved). We printed them off last night, and one of my tasks for today was to iron them on.
Here's the practice one. So far, so good.

Anyway, all-in-all, the onesies are a success!
