Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

* How far along?: 21 weeks
* Total weight gain: down 1
* How big is baby?: about 10.5 in long (now head to toe measurements from here on out) and 13 oz
* Next appointment: Nov. 27-9:00- day after Thanksgiving- I may change this so I can stay home for a couple of days!
* Maternity clothes?: More and more of my regular clothes are being put away each week.
* Stretch marks?: Nope
* Sleep?: Somedays it's decent (only up one for the bathroom) Other nights it's pretty awful
* Best moment this week?: Feeling Baby S on a more regular basis
* Movement?: Getting more regular. Nick still can't feel and I think he's jealous. It could still be 2 or 3 weeks from what I've read
* Food cravings?: Changes by the day
* Pregnancy symptoms: I *think* the vomiting has subsided, but I am still nauseous. Still feel like my bladder is the size of a pea
* Labor signs?: no
* Belly button in or out?: In
*Gender: Boy!
* What I miss: Last night I was missing margaritas when we were out to eat. They looked good!
* What I'm looking forward to: Nick being able to feel the baby
* Milestone: Apparently baby now tastes what I eat.
