It was a crazy reminder of how much the kids have grown. The last time we were in Florida for spring break, Wes spent at least two days being afraid of the ocean and not wanting to walk on the sand. This time around he was instantly in the water, enough to make me feel the need to call him back closer. Norah was not quite 6 months old last time we went on break and just along for the ride in the baby carrier. This time she was ready for a bucket and some shovels and lots of play. The beach at Pink Shell on Estero Island was amazing. The sand was super soft and fine but lots of shells to find.
We all spent a little too much time in the sun and apparently didn't hit the sunscreen hard enough. We all had some red patches. That night we walked up by the Fort Myers Pier and had dinner. It's always nice to have seafood on the coast! Yum!
