We handed over their ear hats and headed to the Comtemporary Resort for breakfast at Chef Mickey's.
Norah was not in the mood for our group picture, as you can see. We then headed for our seats. We loaded up on fruit and Mickey waffles and other yummy breakfast food. 😀 the characters came to visit. Norah was scared of Goofy, Donald, and Mickey but Wes was happy to see them all. Norah was happy to see Minnie and did have her pic taken with both her and Pluto.
Wes also got a birthday pin and cupcake since he was just 2 days from turning six. The pin was neat because people told Wesley happy birthday by name all day long.
Then, Nick and Jordan went to move the car to the MK parking lot and Allyssa, The kids, and I took the monorail to Magic Kingdom. Parking was a disaster, so I sent Lyss in with the kids and I waited for the boys. I could still see the welcome show from outside the gates. Allyssa and the kids went to meet Tinker Bell and by the time they were done the boys were there. Unfortunately, Norah was being shy and didn't want her picture with Tinker Bell but Wes did and Allyssa said she was super fun.
We all headed to Adventureland to ride The Pirates of the Carribean. Norah loved it, but Wes was scared. Then, we rode Splash Mountain. Norah just barely passed the height check, but the cast member let her through after lots of measuring. This was a favorite for a lot of us. It's hard to see Norah in the pic though since she is so little.

Then, we hit Big Thunder Mountain. The height requirement was the same as Splash, but they didn't even look twice at Norah then. I was worried it was a little intense for her first roller coaster, but she loved it. We all did. So much fun!
Then, we decided to ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets before stopping for some Dole Whips and Mickey shaped ice cream bars.
After that, we headed over to Fantasyland and rode the Regal Carrousel. Norah and Wes both loved that. We also watched Mickey's Philarmagic. Norah was scared during this last time but they both really enjoyed it and this is one of Nick's favorite attractions. It's also a nice break from the heat and a good chance to rest tired feet!
We then watched the Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it parade. Nick and Jordan went and grabbed us lunch while we held a spot by the castle. We had burgers and PB&J from Cosmic Rays. Norah passed out while we waited, but was happy to wake up to grapes and apple slices later.
Then, we headed to Tomorrowland for our fast passes for Space Mountain. Norah picked the perfect time to fall asleep since she is too little for this ride anyway. I stayed with her while everyone else went to ride. Turns out Wesley did NOT like Space Mountain (dark rides seem to not be his thing!), so Jordan and I used the child swap pass and went while everyone else waited. We skipped this last time since both kids were too small, so this was my first time riding it.
We then got in line for the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, which Wes had been begging to go on all day. It was about a half hour wait and the first time all day we had much of a wait. This ride is super fun and we all had a great time, so it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, since the kids are little, it is hard to see them in the ride pics.
We then walked back to Fantasyland for the Barnstormer since it was Wesley's favorite last time, but the line was ridiculous, so the kids played at Casey Jr Splash N Soak. Norah was reluctant to get wet, but she eventually joined in. She thought the animals were funny. Wesley loved this last time and this time both.
We then headed back to Main Street for the Festival of Fantasy Parade. We sat by a store Allyssa wanted to go to so she could get a charm for her Pandora bracelet and waited. The parade was absolutely amazing again. It hasn't changed since we were there in 2014 but the floats are just incredible. The kids loved seeing all their favorite characters.
After that, we headed to Princess Fairytale Hall to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel. We had a fast pass so it did not take long to get to Cinderella. Norah was not shy at all with the princesses. She loved seeing Cinderella, and I think Wes didn't mind it either. They got their photo mats signed and had some pics taken.
Then, we headed on to Rapunzel. Rapunzel was awesome. She had the kids totally engaged and you can tell from the pics. She talked about Pascal and playing hide and seek and the kids loved it.
We did a little shopping and then headed to the 7 Dwarves Mine Train for our next Fast Pass. This roller coaster is so fun and so smooth since it is so new. The kids both loved it and so did the adults!
After that, Jordan and I got in line to get another Fast Pass since we had used our first 3 and Allyssa and Nick took the kids to pick out a souvenir. Norah chose Nala and Wesley chose Pluto. Jordan and I got a fast pass to ride Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid. We had some time, so the boys and girls split up. The boys headed to ride the Barnstormer and we headed to meet Ariel. Both were supposed to have about a 1/2 hour wait, so we thought it would work out pretty well. Right when we got to the front of the line, Norah asked me to pick her up and I poked her in the eye on accident with the photo frame (mom fail), so Norah was NOT happy. Even Ariel could not cheer her up, so she told us to take her out and calm her down and come back through the fast pass line. That was just the Disney magic we needed because I knew Norah was dying to meet Ariel and we didn't want to have to wait the 25 minutes all over again. Allyssa got her to calm down (she was still mad at me- oops), and we headed back in. This time Norah was ready to show off her stuffed Ariel doll and Ariel dress and talk about Flounder and all sorts of Mermaid stuff. She was beaming the whole time and the pics turned out great!
When we got done, the boys were still not done (turns out the line was longer than it appeared), so we shopped and waited. When we met up with the boys Wes was thrilled to have ridden the Barnstormer but Nick and Jordan seemed to think it was not worth the wait (it is a pretty short ride!).
The Mermaid ride is super cute and fun. After that, we headed to get out picture taken in front of the Castle and then back to tomorrowland for the People Mover.
It was closed last time we were there, so I knew we wanted to ride. Everyone said there is never a line for this, but there definitely was. It looked pretty long, but we were probably on within 5-10 minutes anyway. It was a fun relaxing ride. After that, it was time to meet Buzz. Norah didn't want to meet him, I think his size is pretty intimidating, but Wes was thrilled and loved meeting his hero.
After that, we headed to Main Street to stake out a spot for the Main Street Electrical Parade. The boys grabbed us dinner from Casey's Corner. We took turns holding the spot, shopping, and getting bathroom breaks. Allyssa spoiled the kids and bought them each a Mickey balloon.
The Electrical Parade is so fun. We then headed more towards the end of Main Street for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. Wes just barely stayed awake, but I am glad he made it. We then headed out, too the monorail to the parking lots and then the tram to our lot. Such a fun day but a long day, too. We had breakfast at 7, we were to the park by 8:30 and left around 10:30. We then had the long drive to Pink Shell, but the kids slept the whole way and we 4 adults stopped for lots of caffeine! We ended up getting to the resort around 1:30. Yawn!
I was unsure of how to handle photography this time around, but luckily, Disney just came out with the option to buy a one day memory maker for less than the whole cost- we ended up with almost 90 pictures, so this ended up being a great deal. We had my nice camera for Chef Mickey's but otherwise relied on phones and the photo pass photographers and it worked out pretty well.
It was so fun to have Allyssa and Jordan along this time. Jordan has been to Disney World, but this was Allyssa's first time. The kids were happy to show her around.
Blog posts coming soon (well, maybe next weekend) on our time on Estero Island.
