When we did the follow up, I asked dr nau about his suggestion to nick for a possible MRI of her spine. Nick asked no questions so i wanted to know the scoop.
Norah's pt therapy has stalled at this point. We haven't seen much change the last couple months and she is still very hesitant on steps. Before talking to Dr. nau, I talked with Jill to et her take, too.
Dr nau said he thought an MRI would come back clear but there is a chance it would find something we need to address. He asked us to contact dr Noble and get his opinion.
Dr nobles nurse called back on Monday and said he wanted to see Norah and wanted her to see Dr. fred at CS. So I made an appointment with dr. Fred for next Wednesday during spring break. We were able to get in to dr Noble Thursday (yesterday) due to a cancellation.
Dr. Noble was awesome as always. We talked through our concerns and Dr Nau's suggestion. He talked us through a few options and of course examined Norah. He still sees tone issues with Norah, and there's still a difference between her and her peers when it comes to gross motor but he thinks as time passes the gap will narrow. He thinks we can wait and not do the MRI Just yet. We will make a decision after we see dr fred and after talking to dr. Nau again next week.
One thing that just stands out in my mind that she has waited until she could do many of the gross motor skills perfectly before wanting to do them.
She waited until she could roll quickly and easily- same with sitting up, pulling up and walking. I hope steps and jumping are the same.
