We have been completely absorbed in ISU bb. There's only two more home games and unfortunately both are 8pm on school nights so the kids are done unless we make a trip down to KC for part of the tourney.
The last week or so has been tough. About two weeks ago, Norah had a fever which turned out to be a sign of a uti. She's on med #3 now which is taking care of it. It was antibiotic resistant so after two days on amoxicillin, she switched to a new med, which worked, but it also made he break out after 4 or so days so now she's on a third med. she has to go back next Wednesday am to have her urine rechecked. No fun with a non potty trained kid- bagging pee 👎
Wes has had his fair share of crazy. On valentines day, his dresser fell on him and he was refusing to use his hand so I took him in. By the time we saw a doc he was back to normal- just wanted to cost me a co-pay- at least our ped has Saturday hours! He also had a stomach big last week and missed Thursday at school- his favorite day (gym class!)
I'm fighting the cold from hell now. I seem to be improving but my throat still hurts and going through school talking tons isn't helping.
On a positive note, we are having a bday party for Wesley's classmates on Sunday- it's early but I wanted to avoid spring break, needed to work around our schedules (including my sis who is helping) and when we could rent the pool. It should be fun for him. I ordered ninja turtle cupcakes from
scratch as Wes is tmnt obsessed right now. There's snow in the forecast soI'm crossing my fingers for good weather so his friends can come! I haven't thought about getting together with family yet. One thing at a time. Hard to believe he is almost 5 and K is right around the corner.
We are leaning towards Sacred Heart for Kindergarten but need to get his registration and application done. It's hard to know what's right for him, but we are going with what feels right. I have my concerns with him going to school outside the town where we live, but I'm impressed with SH as a parent and as a teacher and I like the smaller community, so that's why we are leaning that way. I honestly never thought I'd even consider private school!
