My Little Talker

Wesley will be 3 in 2 short months, and he has come so far with his talking! He is saying more and more everyday. It's getting easier to understand him. He is coming up with some pretty funny stuff to say.

On my older posts about Wesley's language, I could easily list all of his words. There is no way I could this anymore!

One of his favorite things to talk about is feeding the cows with my dad. We drive by two pastures on the way to Jamie's house. He will say "Tows (cows) eat hay!" Then he will say, "I feed tows hay with pop pop in tra-shure (tractor)!" He gets so excited. He will also say that Pop Pop has a red tractor. If he is talking about this, then he will remember scooping snow with my dad in the tractor and the "skeeloader" (skidloader), and talk about that, too. He is reminded of these things when he plays with his toy cows, skid loader, and tractors and when we read his tractor books. Sometimes he tells me that he wants Norah to ride in the tractor, too!

He mostly calls Norah "Nowah" and he is the first to tell me if she is crying, eating, or getting her diaper changed. He still talks about us having to take her to the doctor for her toe, and now if someone isn't around he will say their name and then "doctor?" He seems to think that is where I go instead of work now!

We have been stuck inside lately since it is January, so he is adjusting by playing with his Thomas toys a lot. He calls the trains all by name. I am almost sure his birthday will be Thomas themed. We are still getting the dates figured out to avoid our spring break! I have been telling Wesley we will ride in a plane, and he always tells me we are going to ride in a helicopter instead. :)

Yesterday at the BB game, he enjoyed cheering for Cy and yelling "Bass see ball!"He also likes to cheer for "de FENCE!"

I will end my post of Wesley's talking with our discussion yesterday when he got up. He woke up and was sitting in bed telling me he needed to go potty. When I went in he had stripped off his PJs (he will NEVER take his shirt off by himself when I want to!) and his diaper. I took him to the potty and asked why he was naked. His reply? "No naked, socks on!" I about died of laughter and then he started his fake laugh which always makes me laugh harder! Silly kid. I love being able to hear his thoughts now! :)
