What else does he love? Farm animals, and cows are at the top of the list, too. He also seems extra interested in donkeys right now. Mostly because we see one every day on the way to and from Jamie's house and he really likes to say, "HeeHaw!" I really should have typed that in all caps because he doesn't really just say it, he SCREAMS it.
Wesley is still loving trains. He likes to see them in person the best, but will settle for toys, shirts, pjs, and tv. Santa is bringing a Thomas train set, and Thomas socks and underwear for his stocking, too. ;) Nick and I got him several accessories/trains and a Thomas painting book. Many others have also chosen Thomas gifts. He is going to be thrilled. I was hoping to take him on the Santa Express in Boone, but by the time I went online to get tickets, all the weekend times were sold out :( and I am just too exhausted to attempt it during the week. Next year!
Wesley is very excited about Santa. He points to him every time he see him (mall, lawn display, commercial, etc), and yells "San!" Occasionally, he gets "Santa"with both syllables. ;) If I ask Wes what Santa is brining, he replies, "New Choo Choo!" I am not sure if he is more excited about Santa or Grandma and Grandpa. He keeps moving the advent calendar ahead to where he will get to go to Grandma's house AND Santa comes. He is so excited. We haven't see my parents since the day after Thanksgiving, and he isn't used to going so long. He misses them! We were going to go back the weekend Dad got out of the hospital, but thought it might be too much to invade while Dad was recovering, and school is crazy right now for me, so we haven't made it yet, knowing we will be back for several days at Christmas.
We continue to fight at supper time with Wesley's eating, but he eats well at breakfast and lunch, so maybe that's just his schedule/preference.
Wesley is doing AWESOME in his role as big brother. I am seriously in disbelief. He does SO well. He loves to hold Norah, and he does so at home and at daycare. He was pretty proud of her before, and I think he is even more proud now that she goes everywhere with him. I think it helps that some of the other kids wish they had a baby sister, too. It makes him think he is pretty hot stuff!
Wesley's naughtiest days are days when he is cooped up. Winter with him will not be fun many days, I am afraid. He hates being stuck inside. Hopefully new Christmas toys will help. We try to make sure he gets to go to the grocery store on the weekends, and we try to let him run off energy at the mall frequently, too. He just loves to be outside but it's hard when it is cold, especially with Norah not being able to go out.
A few of my recent favorites of Wes

| I bought Wesley's Christmas outfit on clearance last year. How perfect that it has a train on it since that was before his obsession began! |
