Norah- 2 Months

Norah is already more than 2 months old! She is smiling more and more, and she is growing.

She is wearing all 0-3 clothes now and size 1 diapers. She's still very much a newborn who sleeps a lot. She was more awake for a while... awake and cranky... but now that she is on medicine for reflux, she is a happy little girl. Her most awake time is at night from 7-10 PM, so Wes misses out on her fun time for the most part. Most nights, she sleeps from 10:30 to 6--- BLISS! Today, she slept until 6:30. This mama was happy!

She has been to daycare for a week now. She is doing well for the most part, and I go feed her at lunch. She is struggling with bottles a little. Friday, she used the bottles Wes used to use, and that seems to help. Those are the ones I tried to get her to take in the beginning and she mostly just let the milk spill all over. She could have saved me some $$ if she had taken them from the start... oh, well. Kids!

I was absolutely exhausted all of last week going back to work, but that's normal. I really did have a pretty good week once I got past the first day. Things weren't exactly how I would have hoped while I was out, but it will be fine. I am down to 12 teaching days and 3 days of semester tests before winter break. Then, I have those kids once more for a short day, and then a new semester begins.  Leaving such a little baby is hard, but I think I handled it a little better this time. I will admit, there have been plenty of tears, but I know she is in great hands with Jamie at daycare, and it helps knowing that Wesley is there looking over her. He is SO proud of her. It's adorable. He calls her Baby, Norah, and Sissy. He thinks he is pretty cool being a big brother, especially now that she comes to day care with him. He handles me coming to feed her and leaving again really well, which is amazing. I am so proud of that boy!

We will celebrate Norah's first Christmas soon, which is exciting. It is hard to shop for a will-be-3-month-old though. She is getting a crib/floor piano from Santa, books, bows, and a wearable blanket from me and Nick, and Wes picked out a rattle shaped like a ring and a finger puppet book. Wes is definitely getting way more this year, but I am sure it will be much easier to shop next year!

Her 2 month appointment is Thursday. I will update then with her stats!
