33 weeks

Baby’s senses are continuing to improve -- when light peeks in through your (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby can now recognize and react to simple songs… time to start practicing your lullabies! Growth (at least inside your womb) is starting to slow, and you may notice baby descend into your pelvis at the end of this month.

*How far along?: 33 weeks, 1 day
* Total weight gain: up 8
* How big is baby: 4 lbs+
* Next appointment: Thursday, Feb 4 at 3
* Maternity clothes?: are boring...
* Sleep?: Same.
* Best moment this week?: working on nursery with Nick. We bought at assembled a night stand this week. We also picked up a few other things- activity center (he can play with this starting at 4 months or so, but it was 25% off) and diaper genie. I am also washing the smaller clothes from my shower today. I also finished the shower thank yous, so I will be sending those out tomorrow.
* Movement?: Still seems busiest when I am resting
* Food cravings?: Ugh, this was a bad week. It wasn't a matter of cravings so much as it was I could only keep down carbs several days.
* Pregnancy symptoms: serious acid reflux, sore back
* Labor signs?: still having occasional Braxton Hicks contractions
* Belly button in or out?: In
*Gender: Boy!
* What I miss: not being sick.
* What I'm looking forward to: finishing nursery. We need to get changing area set up, hang a few things, do some more organizing.
* Milestone: bones hardening, baby is getting to be less wrinkled and should be over 17 in long

  1. I know you're close to being done with this but I took Tums for my acid reflux and thought it helped a lot. :) The smoothie flavors are best. :)
