Norah's Dance pictures have arrived. Look at this cute tapping kitty.
The kids have started swimming lessons. Norah started in level 1, but she got bumped to level 2 on the first day because she can front float (who knew? I certainly didn't!)
Monday afternoon at the pool, Wes decided he wanted to take the deep water test. He passed! Here he is on the diving board for the first time!
He is LOVING the diving board. He doesn't seem to want to do much else! We are headed to the Ames pool later this week and he wants to pass that deep water test, too!
Norah also decided that getting her head wet is no big deal, and she now will swim under water. Whose kid is this?
I broke down and bought a small inflatable pool for the yard, the kids are having lots of fun with that, too!
We made a quick trip home last weekend for Allyssa's baby shower. It was also Griswold Reunion weekend, so Norah's dream of riding a horse (okay, a pony, close enough) was realized.
The kids also participated in the pedal tractor pull- it really took it out of Wes. :)
Allyssa's shower was a success. We are all very excited for baby Shouse to arrive!
Last Tuesday was Independence Day, so we headed to Little Wall Lake for the day, and then came back to Boone for fireworks that night.

We also had some sparkler fun with friends a few days before the 4th.
Last tidbit for this post- July 3 was a BIG day for Norah. We started the day in Des Moines at the U of I Children's Satellite Clinic to see Dr. Storm. Her u/s looked good. Her kidneys are dilated, but they will likely always be after what they went through before we got them fixed. Regardless, they look how Dr. Storm wants, and she is now only an as-needed patient. We have to see him if she has kidney pain or another UTI, but she is otherwise off the hook! We celebrated by going out to eat.
That night, her loose tooth was VERY loose, and she let Nick pull it. The tooth fairy visited the Schuler house that night. Her other front tooth is loose, so it will only be a matter of time before the next visit. The tooth fairy better make sure we are stocked on $2 bills!
