Wesley- 5 year update

Here's Wes on his bday getting ready to watch the Cyclones win the Big xii tournament. His shirt is huge but he wanted a bb cy shirt and this is the smallest I could find.

Wes was 44 inches tall and 46 pounds at his appt April  1. He rocked his five year appointment with no tears despite 2 shots and having to have his blood drawn. His favorite parts were getting a new book and peeing in a cup, which he thought was hilarious. He likes getting a sucker after the hearing test, too. We went to the park after to celebrate before I headed back to work. He told the nurse his shots didn't hurt but asked me why shots have to be so pokey when we were at the park. 

Wesley's currently obsessed with TMNT. Michaelanglo is his favorite turtle, so he had a Mikey cake for his birthday parties with family. He had tmnt cupcakes for his classmates party at the pool.

His favorite foods as a big 5 year old are strawberries, grilled cheese, Mac & cheese, red peppers and grapes. He also  loves Clone cones at Hilton. 

He's really into riding his bike lately and he's getting faster. It's probably time for me to get a decent bike so I don't have to run behind him! 

He says he wants to be a farmer that watches cows when he grows up. 

He writes his name somewhat legibly and is starting to write other letters but he doesn't particularly enjoy writing. We need to keep working on that this spring and summer before kindergarten. 

He's in swimming lessons now. He's enjoying them, but I put him in the prek ones and I should have put him in regular level 1.

He will take level 1 the first two weeks of June. He loves the water! He got ninja turtle trunks and a towel for his bday so that adds to the love.

Wes is such a sweet boy and a fabulous big brother. I'm so proud of how he looks our for Norah. They do fight but they really love each other!
