Christmas

After a little over a week at my mom's the kids and I are home with Nick.

The Sunday before Christmas, my aunt Angie hosted our annual cookie day. I couldn't roll and cut with my broken foot, but I did sit and decorate. Wes helped with sprinkling and eating. He's a big fan of frosted sugar cookies!  It was good to see the family even if it's a huge pain to go anywhere right now.

Christmas Eve, everyone else (Seth, Tammy, Lyss, Jordan, and Nick) got to my parents'. We had Christmas dinner that night and Wes put out cookies for Santa.

Christmas Day, we opened gifts and the kids were spoiled rotten. Santa brought Wes Henry the train, which is the one and only thing he asked for. Santa brought Norah the Little People Disney Castle, which she loves!

The kids also got new books and lots of toys. Wes was delighted with everything though he got tired and overwhelmed with opening. He just wanted to play with the fun stuff rather than open. I swore I cut down on things I bought for them but our living room is full of new toys. I also meant to donate some before Christnas but didn't get that done.

Norah was of course still pretty little to understand it all but enjoyed the new things afterwards!

My siblings left after lunch on Chirstmas day and all 4 of us Schulers napped! Then, we went to see the Christmas lights at Bairds which are still amazing. Both kids enjoyed them!

Christmas ended with watching the Cyclone men win the tournament they were playing in!

The day after Chtistmas nick took the kids to see his mom and grandparents. My mom has been doing so much since I fell that I was glad Nick gave ger a break.

Friday my mom and I made Norah a dress for summer, which seems short so it's more of a tunic but it is very cute. I have another more formal pattern I'm going to try at spring break to make Norah a dress for Emi's wedding. Wes wants me to make him something too, so I'm thinking pjs or shorts.

Saturday was Christmas with Nick's family. Both sets of his grandparents were there as well as all of his siblings and their families. Norah was even more daddy centric than normal but did warm up a little by the end of the day. The kids were spoiled again. Nick's grandpaade a very cool wooden skidloader for Wes that is just amazing!

We got back later on Saturday night and all napped today again after Norah kept Nick up again last night
