At week 37, your pregnancy is considered full term, meaning baby is likely to thrive after birth. Baby spends these last weeks in preparation for the outside world… meaning careful refinement of the blink, suck, inhale and exhale. Meconium, which you’ll probably find in the first diaper, is accumulating in the intestines. If (okay, as) you worry about giving birth, consider what it’s like for the little one. During the journey out of your womb, baby will produce more stress hormones than any other time in life.
*How far along?: 36 weeks, 5 days
* Total weight gain: ? Up at least 25. :-/
* How big is baby: a little over 6lbs on avg
* Next appointment: Tuesday at 3
* Maternity clothes?: Sick of them, especially since less and less fit.
* Sleep?: Stinks. It makes me so sore (hips, back) and I have to pee all the time.
* Best moment this week?: I am excited to hit full term in two days, Nick wrapped Wesley's big brother presents while I graded papers today. I also found this adorable cotton Halloween dress that was sold out everywhere online with 99 cent shipping and I had a 20% off code. :)
* Movement?: She moves a lot. I can tell space is getting cramped in there
* Food cravings?: still sweets.
* Pregnancy symptoms: sore back and hips, heartburn like crazy
* Labor signs?: some contractions, but nothing consistent, etc.
* Belly button in or out?: in most of the time, but out if she is up against it.
*Gender: girl
* What I miss: I really wanted a drink to celebrate ISU's victory over the Hawks yesterday in IC, but sleep still comes before a drink!
* What I'm looking forward to: Maternity leave. Grading papers is also back in full swing and SO time consuming. My plans are officially ready, though I will probably still adjust them until the day I am no longer there.
* Milestone: Full term Tuesday
