Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!
* How far along?: 20 weeks
* Total weight gain: up 6
* How big is baby?: roughly 10 1/2 oz and 6.5 inches long head to rump or 10 inches head to heel. At 20 weeks the measurements switch over from head to rump to head to toe
* Next appointment: May 25 at 8:30
* Maternity clothes?: That's what I am wearing
* Stretch marks?: No new ones
* Sleep?: okay, up once or twice
* Best moment this week?: Nick and I have a few girl names we both like at this point. Boy name is still up in the air, but we do have a boy middle name.
* Movement?: feeling most evenings but it's still not super regular.
* Food cravings?: Craving steak a lot or red meat this week.
* Pregnancy symptoms: Acne is still out of control. It's better than it was in the beginning but my face is still covered :(
* Labor signs?: no
* Belly button in or out?: In
*Gender: ??
* What I miss: not having to wear cover up every day, my better wardrobe
* What I'm looking forward to: Ultrasound next Friday!
* Milestone: Digestive system is developing. At this point, we had already had our u/s with Wes and we got to see his full bladder. I can't wait to see his little brother or sister next week. Plus, that's the first day of summer. I can't wait for summer!
