Nick's maternal grandparents live on the east coast, so they send Christmas gifts to our house. Since we will be heading to Southwest Iowa this year for Christmas, I didn't want/need anything else to take with us, and I thought Wes could use something to keep him busy yesterday, so he opened his gifts from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bruce. He got some PJs and a toy truck, which he is loving. He was much better about opening this time than at his B-day. Nick started the first one and he ripped it open and needed no help on the second one besides the pesky ribbon.
So what else will Wesley be getting this year? Santa is brining a big John Deere dump truck and a farm bath book with toys that match. Mom and Dad are giving him Lego Duplos, more books than I can count, a handle hauler farm truck, and a smaller dump truck (think stocking stuffer size). My parents are getting him a play house and a pool pass that I know of. Aunt Allyssa and Uncle Jordan are giving him several books and a little people Wheelies Batman set. They also recorded The Night before Christmas and gave that to him this weekend. Other than that, I am not sure. I gave people ideas, but we'll have to wait and see. I guarantee he'll be spoiled, and I didn't help that much. I already have a few things stowed away for his 2nd birthday! On a side note, I have his birthday theme narrowed to two ideas- Things that Go (trucks, cars, trains, etc) and Where the Wild Things Are. I think I am leaning towards the first idea.
