Wesley has his appointment with Early Access today. They came to do an assessment. They asked a lot of questions of us, watched him, and played with him.
His gross and fine motor skills were fine, but his receptive and expressive language were low- not a surprise.
Both of the women who came- a social worker and a teacher- said he didn't have any obvious signs of being on the autism spectrum but that it is also very hard to tell at his age. We talked over a plan for him, and the teacher will be working with Wesley a couple of times a month- starting on Nov 10. She recommended we step up the sign language in the mean time.
I think our main focuses will be hungry/food and drink. And Mommy.... that last one is a selfish one, but I am okay with that. :)
I feel better about everything and am glad we are going to get some help for Wes. :)
