18 Months/ 1.5 years?!?!

I am not sure what I like better 18 months or 1 1/2.... 18 months sounds more baby, so I will go with that. Either way, Wes is growing up fast.

Wesley doesn't have his 18 month appointment until Sept 26, so I will do a weight/height/percentile post then.

UPDATE- Wes was 31.75 inches and 23 lbs 12 oz. He's around the 30th percentile for height and weight, 50th percentile for head. This just makes me even more convinced to keep him rear facing in the car until March when he turns 2! The reason facing forward is dangerous is not just weight but proportion of head to body makes a big difference, too, and Wesley is even more disproportional than the average 1.5 year old!

This weekend, Wesley lived through his first ISU FB victory over Iowa. He didn't get to come to the game, he stayed home with babysitter Katie, but he got to come to the tailgate lot afterwards to celebrate with all the Wilsons and a few extras. He had fun running around and getting tons of attention.

He is definitely a runner now. It amazes me that this time last year he was barely sitting up for a few seconds at a time on his own and now he RUNS! It's just nuts.

Wes continues to love the library and his wagon. This past month we made a few more trips to the aquatic center, and we are both sad to see it close for the year. Swings and park trips are a highlight. Today, Nick, Wes, and I went to Center Grove Orchard. We got season passes, so we will be going back. Wesley's favorite things were the pedal tractors (he's too small to pedal but loved Mom and Dad pushing him around!) and going on the big slide with Mom and Dad. He also enjoyed the corn pool and seeing the horses, piglets, and goats.

Wesley continues to have no interest in talking, but he is coming up with signs for lots of things. He signs for more (the actual sign), touchdown, crab, hi, bye, and hello (this is different that waving hi, he pretends to answer the phone). He also blows kisses and continues to love to fake sneeze.

He can still wear 12 month and 18 month clothes. His suit for his Uncle Josh's wedding is a 2T, so I have to shorten the pants a bit. He's still in size 4 diapers. He got his top two canine teeth this month, too (finally)!

He is really loving his Poke-A-Dot books lately! He is also getting better at using forks. He loves to run into the garage and hop into his wagon as if to ask, "Please take me on a ride!" (He did this my first few days back to work when he needed to go to daycare---SAD!)

We have 18 month pics/family pics in a couple of weeks. My first attempt at his 18 month pic with his stick on tie was a FAIL, so I will update when I get those done.
