Today was Wesley's 4 month appointment. He weighed in at a teeny 12 lb 4 oz and is 24 inches long. I can't remember his head measurement, but it was the "biggest" in terms of %ile. His weight was around 5th %ile and height 15th. Head was 25th, I think. Wesley is growing, but he's just not a big baby.
He wasn't particularly happy the whole time. Normally he is good when he is being examined since he's getting lots of attention, but not so much today. Finally had him calmed down after Dr. Nau left, and then the nurse came in with shots.

Consoling Wes after shots...

He calmed down after a bit, but then was mad all over again when I put him down to dress him...

He passed out on the way home and took a 45 minute or so nap, then he was back to being a happy baby. Actually, I think he was happier tonight than normal.... weird?
Best news of the day? I asked about swaddling as Wesley still wants to be swaddled if he is going to sleep, and Dr. Nau said to keep swaddling until he decides he's done. Apparently the general belief USED to be 3 months, but now he says if he's on his back and happy, let him be. When Wesley sleeps 8:30- 6:45 or so each night, I REALLY don't want to mess with that!! :)
Our next appointment is September 3 (yes, I purposely planned it for the day after ISU's Thursday night FB game).
