Christmas 2015

It's been a whirlwind few days with Christmas celebrations galore.

Christmas Eve morning, we celebrated with just the 4 of us. Wes and I got up and made monkey bread and while it baked, we opened gifts. We got Wes the next set of The Magic Treehouse books, some picture books, paint, ISU clothes, a ninja turtle robe, tmnt puzzle, and buzz pjs and cup. Norah got a new paint set, Ariel blanket, necklace, pjs, and dress, a palace pet coloring book and pjs and some picture books. Wes also got gymnastics lessons and Norah got ballet.

Wes made us a handprint craft and school. I got Nick some camping lanterns and San Andreas Movie and I got a new coffee mug to support my caffeine addiction.

We had monkey bread and got dressed and packed up to go. It ended up being a snowstorm despite that it was just supposed to rain. It took over 3 hours to get to my mom's. We had lunch there and then headed to my aunt's for our annual cookie decorating. The kids enjoyed sprinkling and eating, Wes helped cut some out, too.

After dinner, we headed to church. Wes did extremely well but Norah did not. I ended up taking her to the back where she slept the rest of the service. Over tired and over sugared is a tough combo.

When we got to my parents', the kids chose cookies for Santa and changed to pjs, then they were off to bed.

Christmas morning, Wes slept until 7 when he decided it was time to wake the rest of us.

He was delighted to see Buzz Lightyear and Norah was happy to see her soft Arirl doll. My kids were spoiled by my family. Norah got a bath time Ariel, clothes, dance outfit, and Minnie guitar amount other things.

Wes got a marble run, Little House on the prarie box set, talking ninja turtles and a new comforter for his bed that he got this past summer.

Nick and I were spoiled too as we will head to Florida with my family in March!

We spent the rest of the day playing with their new toys and hanging with my family.

Saturday was Christmas at Nick's mom's house. We were excited to meet the two new babies, Graham and Molly! We had soup and I hogged the babies.

The kids were spoiled some more. Wes has a new chair for his room, clothes, Legos, walkie talkies, and Home. Norah has clothes, a sleeping bag, backpack, puzzles, and Cinderella.

Mostly, the kids had lots of fun hanging with their cousins! We stayed at my parents' that night and then headed home Sunday morning to beat the current snowstorm!
