Norah has been pretty good at throwing tantrums lately, which is a good clue that she is closer to two than she is to one, even though her lack of walking makes her seem younger. In fact, we just lowered her crib last night when we lowered it for Wes when he was only 9 months or so. Since pulling up wasn't happening at all 2 months ago and was pretty rare for quite a while. there wasn't much rush.
ChildServe would like to see Norah do occupational therapy as well, but our insurance isn't about to pay for that until we have a diagnosis and the grant that pays for some of Norah's PT covers PT and only PT. Also, CS So, for now, we are attempting to do more of that kind of stuff on our own to help her sensory issues. Even if she doesn't have Sensory Processing Disorder, it's clear that she has some sensory sensitivities. We let her sit in the grass barefooted this weekend with mostly bare legs. It took her a while to adjust to that! She did eventually put her legs and feet down though.
We have double physical therapy this week.... ChildServe Wed and Early Access Thurs. Big week and then it's wedding weekend! I am so thankful that my parents and sister are invited so I can enjoy the wedding and get to see Wes (hopefully) walk down the aisle without having to entertain Norah. They can take the kids home early and then Nick and I can come later.
Norah has been a lot more chatty lately. One word at a time is most common, but we do hear a few 2 word phrases. She will say, "Want ____." Her favorite single words are ball, mommy, hi, bye, daddy, cheese, please, cookie, Minnie Mouse (wait, that's sort of two though she strings them together like one...), Teddy. She says Wes, too, and she said Titi quite a bit this weekend and even said Jordan once, but the words I listed first get the most use.
I am excited for Norah to wear the dress I made her for the wedding. She is going to look super cute. I wish I was better/more efficient at sewing, but a few things here and there to go with her store bought stuff will have to suffice.
He main attachment is with Minnie Mouse and her taggie blanket.
