Started this post a while ago--- finally finished.
Norah is 17 months old today. She has really improved on her crawling the last week. She is choosing to crawl more and more rather than scoot. I feel like a lot of my posts about Norah are PT related, so I am going to try to focus this monthly update more on other things.
Norah loves mandarin oranges, anything sweet, bread, and chicken nuggets. She is less than thrilled with most vegetables but she will eat corn and green beans if she is in the mood. Meat is a challenge with her, much like it was with Wes at this age. She will eat fish sticks, chicken nuggets, the occasional hot dog and chicken if it's in a taco/fajita with sour cream.
She is wearing 12 month and 18 month clothes. She tends to outgrow the head hole of a lot of her clothes. She has a big head like the guys in her life- Nick and Wes. She doesn't wear shoes much but is between a size 3 and 4. I wonder how long she will keep her petite little feet because genetics just aren't going to allow that to continue! I will hope her feet aren't as big as mine (or Nick's- eek), but smaller than average just isn't going to happen! We just switched to size 4 diapers.
Norah loves to play with her princess castle. She loves to play with the trains, too, so it is a good things she got one of her own in her stocking at Christmas time! She continues to love Violet the dog and sleeps with her every night.
She has strong opinions about what books to read. She loves anything with cats (she is obsessed with kitties and can be found meowing quite often!) and touch and feel books are a hit! Last night, she had a sitter while the rest of us went to the basketball game and I forgot to mention her pickiness about books. Abby said Norah cried only when she read bedtime stories, and I am sure it is because Abby didn't choose the right ones- Oops!
Oops, 2 weeks later I better finish this or she will be 18 months!
Norah tolerates teeth brushing much better than before- no more clenched teeth and tears, so that is a plus! She has 14 teeth, and I think she is getting top and bottom eye teeth now, which will bring it to 16. The left ones came in in the last week or so.
Norah loves her big brother but definitely has some jealousy issues. She's been known to hit and pinch him. I hope this isn't a sign of what is to come!
I'll leave you with this pic of my beauty!
