Norah turned one a couple of weeks ago, and that is just hard to believe. I am longing for that sweet newborn but at the same time loving her personality that I see more and more of everyday. At her 1 year appt, she was 18 lbs 3 oz, so she is still quite a peanut. She is 28.75 inches long. She's in around the 25th percentile for height and weight and her head is in the 80-90th percentile. Giant head just like her brother. She is scooching everywhere on her butt now, which is pretty funny to watch. She isn't too interested in crawling most of the time. She get can most everywhere scooting as she could crawling, so I don't think she cares how she gets there.
We are still struggling to get her to bare weight on her legs. Dr. Nau told us to call Child Serve PT and have her evaluated, so I called last week. I am waiting to hear back. I think it's her will, but I still wish she would give in and try standing/pulling up. It's hard not to worry even though her muscle tone seems fine.
While Norah is a little slow on gross motor, she is impressing me with her language. Right around her birthday, she started saying Dada (for Nick, she'd been babbling that for a while. She also says hi, bye, and her newest, What? Most of this is from copying Wes, I think. She loves him so much! I am pretty sure she will say his name or brother before mom.
I just got her proofs back from her one year pictures and they are SO adorable. I like most, if not all, of them. Sarah, our photographer, is amazing. She is moving in December, and I will be SO sad to see her go. She's been capturing photos of our family since Wesley's first birthday.
Since I started writing this days ago, I have since talked to Child Serve, filled out paperwork and gave them insurance info. Now, I am waiting for them to communicate with our insurance and we will have an evaluation at that point and decide how to proceed with PT.
