Your baby's the size of a butternut squash!
At less than two months to go, he weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches.
Watch what you say! Your curious baby is listening in to your conversations at 34 weeks -- and might enjoy a lullaby or two -- so go ahead and sing to him. Some say that baby will recognize songs mom sings while he’s in the womb, and may even be more easily soothed by them if he’s used to them once he’s on the “outside.” At week 34, you might breathe a little easier, since baby may descend lower into your pelvis and give your lungs some space. (Ahh!) Of course, some babies don’t do this until the day they’re born, so we’re not making any guarantees. The pitfall of this descent, of course, is even more pressure on your bladder, so be prepared to make even more trips to the ladies room over the coming weeks.
*How far along?: 34 weeks
* Total weight gain: up 17ish if I am guessing but my feet are swollen so maybe more with water weight.
* How big is baby: 4.75 lbs is average @ this point
* Next appointment: Thursday at 3
* Maternity clothes?: A couple of my shirts are already too short. A few should make it to the end, I will just be very sick of them. I got a stain out of one of my favorite shirts from when I was pregnant with Wesley and it is also one of the longer ones- WIN!
* Sleep?: not great. Up at least twice to go to the bathroom. After sleeping on both of my sides for a couple of hours each neither is comfortable, so the the second half of the night is not great.
* Best moment this week?: ?? Surviving being pregnant, working again, and mothering a toddler at all is a huge accomplishment. Nick has stepped up huge. Love him! I also got some super cute girl clothes for next summer from my amazing mama. If we go back to the week before (since I skipped an update last week), it was getting her FB blanket and curtains that my mom made. She rocks!
* Movement?: She's busy. I feel like I feel her stretching me out sometimes. She'll push up against me and then hold that position. Like I need more stretch marks! Her brother gave me PLENTY
* Food cravings?: Still liking the carbs because they make me feel less like puking.
* Pregnancy symptoms: soreness, SWOLLEN feet and ankles. Missing my lounging time during Wesley's naps to keep from blowing up.
* Labor signs?: a few Braxton Hicks contractions- typically telling me I need so slow down!
* Belly button in or out?: In
*Gender: girl
* What I miss: I have definitely noticed that sitting in student desks doesn't work nearly as well as it did in May. Belly is getting big.
* What I'm looking forward to: meeting the baby. 6 more weeks until EDD
* Milestone: Baby Center tells me that baby is getting "rounder" so she can regulate her temperature. :) Also at this point, almost all babies have no long term health problems, which is one less thing to worry about! (copied this exactly from Wes's 34 week update, just changed the pronouns' gender)
Cute clothes for next summer from Mom ^
