23 Months

Wesley is almost two!

We are currently dealing with another ear infection. We will be discussing tubes at his appointment in March. The biggest worry is that the ear that isn't infected still had fluid in it, which is a bad sign. I am so tired and ready for my little boy to be his happy self that I am trying to ignore the $$ the surgery will cost us (Nick's insurance sucks for that kind of stuff). If it keeps him healthy and helps us miss less work, it will be a blessing. There's a good chance that could help with his language, too.

In addition to ear issues, we are healing a black eye right now. Shortly after getting his new play table from grandma and grandpa (early birthday gift), he tripped into it and gave himself a black eye. I swear it looks worse now that it's healing than when he first got it. The yellowish bruise isn't a good look!

Wesley is still teetering between sizes. More and more 18 month stuff is getting packed away but a lot of 24 mon/2t stuff is still too big. Shirts are okay, but pants are annoying now. We are transitioning to size 5 diapers. I think we could keep him in 4s a while longer but I have a few cases of 5s and I am out of 4s so I am switching now. Nick things  I should potty train this summer, but I don't think he'll be ready. I think Nick wants me to do it because I'll take the grunt of it since I'll be home. ; )

We haven't set a date for Nick's family for a bday party, probably because Nick is in charge of that. We're waiting until Easter weekend to do the one for my family since we decided to have it at my parents' again. This way we can save a trip home. I am looking into at least the three of us staying at a hotel with a pool close to his birthday for something fun to celebrate.

This month, Wesley attended a couple of ISU BB games. He was awesome at the first one (Exciting win over KU- How could he not love it?), but was restless at the second (boring win over A&M). He'll be attending his third game of the season tomorrow.
