Wesley is 8 months old today!
We don't have a well baby visit until December, so I don't have growth stats. He is wearing almost all 6-9 month clothing now. He still wears 3-6 month sleepers and a few onesies, but the pants on his outfits are too short. I washed all the 9-12 month stuff, so I could start having him wear anything that looked small... and so I can see what he still needs.
Wesley loves to sit and play for hours. He also is finally enjoying being on his tummy. He can turn all around on his stomach to get toys, but there is no crawling yet. Occasionally, he scoots backwards a few inches.
Wesley isn't the best sleeper. Since I went back to work in August, we have struggled. He slept through the night the last two nights, but most nights he is up once to eat. When he is sick (often, it seems), he is up more. He is down to taking just one long nap most days.
I am still nursing most of the time. He gets a bottle of formula or frozen milk once a day on weekends and twice a day when he is at daycare.
He still has just the bottom two teeth, though his gums seem super swollen up top. He drools constantly.
He loves to eat solids. His favorites are puffs, Cheerios, and bananas. He likes to feed himself, but he likes us to spoon feed him too. We tried yougart last week and he had a reaction, but nothing else has bothered him. I gave him turkey this weekend, and he handled it well, so he will be able to join the rest of us on Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks.
He still loves Scout and his Alpha Zoo. He also loves his stackable rings (ya know, that toy that has been forever with the colored rings on a peg). Best $5 I have spent! He loves, loves, loves his finger puppet books.
I have started xmas shopping for the little man. So far I have a book, a shape sorter, and a Leap Frog music table. I have told myself that there is no reason to go all out since he doesn't know the difference and/or really need anything. We'll see how that goes!
